How old does an individual have to be to be able to seek advice from doctors without their parents present?

I've heard already that it was 16 but I'm not too sure. Thanks for your help :)How old does an individual have to be to be able to seek advice from doctors without their parents present?
Depends on the state. Call your local county free health clinic and ask. If someone needs certain procedures an attorney can be appointed to represent them without their parents finding out as early as age 14 in some states. How old does an individual have to be to be able to seek advice from doctors without their parents present?
For many medical procedures you will need parental consent until a certain age (it varies for state and procedure). In many states, kids are entitled to confidentiality regarding their reproducive health as young as 13 or 14, but all other medical issues are still discussed their parents.

However, a child of ANY age can seek ADVICE from a doctor or nurse without their parents present. If there's something you need advice about, most medical professionals would probably be happy to talk with you about it. Assuming you're still in school, asking your school nurse might be a good place to start.
16 in UK...might b the same in USA
In Ausralia it is either 14 or 16. Call the doctor and find out. You won't have to give your name
