Amateur writer seeking tips/advice from experienced and or published authors?

Well, i am 15 and need some tips on writing fiction in short story form. Any form of tips and advice would be great. And i am seeking advice from writers who have lots of experience in writing. Who have, hopefully, a couple of years of experience. I am in attempt to write a short story, but it never seems to come out right. I have plans on getting a book that is about writing like ';on writing'; by Stephen King, but i would like some advice for now, until i am able to get a copy of it. Thanks.Amateur writer seeking tips/advice from experienced and or published authors?
Every writer has their own style. You cannot just take a writers advice and come out with a spectacular story.

Let's see what can I tell you...

Description: If you feel like describing all the different aspects of the characters and setting then do; unless you feel like keeping it simple. Let others form their own visuals based off of the little information you gave them. Find out how you like to do it.

Plot: I'd say be original or don't be cliche', but they just feel cliche'. Do something interesting.

Other Elements: Use other different elements: irony, action, gesture, dialogue, focus, time, place, point of view, character, etc.

find your style and roll with it.

Personally, I dislike 'How To Write' books.Amateur writer seeking tips/advice from experienced and or published authors?
I would pick up a copy of Writer's Digest Magazine. It has a lot of advice. They also offer a correspondence writing class that could help you since it offers feedback from an author/teacher. You weren't very clear on what you needed help with. What exactly isn't ';coming out right';? If you want to ask more in-depth questions you can contact me through my website below.
