What do you think of my composition? English learner seek advice?

This is one diary I wrote describing the first time I went to classroom to conduct a self-study. I'm a university student. Here self-study is referred to as a from of study when there's no teacher, and you learn the book yourself.

My composition

Do you know how I feel about conducting self-study?

I started self-study one and a half weeks ago. It was a medium-sized classroom in building 2. I felt a little uncertain at the moment I set foot into the classroom, there were no more than 10 people. I could see most of them came here alone, so did I.

I found a place and seated myself. Then my first time self-study official began. I was feeling uncertain not only because this was my first time self-study. I'm in a habit of reading, I like learning English via reading loud. Since no one was reading except me, I felt a little uncomfortable at the very beginning. But it seemed no one cared about whether I was reading or not and noise outside overwhelmed my voice. I started feeling better while keeping my voice relatively lower than usual.

Time could fly when you're focused. I left the classroom at 9:30. Now self-study has become my hobby, and I'm sure this hobby will remain.

(END)

As an English learner, I like to wirte English diary to improve my writing. is this diary I wrote OK? I would appreciate if you could give me some advice.

Thanks for your advice. What do you think of my composition? English learner seek advice?
The content of your composition is not what one would expect from a tertiary student. It would be acceptable approximately at a grade 8 level. If I receive this from a tertiary student i would return it unmarked.

How do i go about it where do i seek advice?

if you have any advice for me on dancing would be appriciated

thank youHow do i go about it where do i seek advice?
Most people who teach dancing have been to dance school and passed many exams. So its hard to get in anywhere without such qualifications. However if you just want to dance without any of these maybe you could join a local drama group, these can be such fun and could lead to roles on stage.

You can find your local amateur drama groups through your library or yellow pages or some use church halls as their venue.

You can also contact your local council and they would have a list of dance groups for adults, some teach tap and modern and salsa and these are not expensive and usually start from beginners for adults.

Sadly you will not be recognised unless you have qualifications or you could try and get on one of the T.V programmes who are looking for natural talented people.

Good luck, don't give up I am sure you will find something suitable. Dance classes seem to be the in thing at the moment and you should find something just to suit you.How do i go about it where do i seek advice?
Heh I can only guess that the references to mocking and spelling mistakes landed you in this section, love? :)
You need a day job and make dancing your pastime. You will most likely be accepted as you really are and find your true happiness..
It would depend where in the world you are and what type of dance you are good at.
Try Yellow Pages.

I have a problem with my prom dress, i seek advice again, plz help?

i bought a dress in a boutique and i realize i forgot to ask for a receipt. the prom dress i bought, i made a deposit and finally paid everything

but my mom and sister criticize my prom dress , but my 2 friends who went with me to look for a prom dress said it was perfect

i value my sister opinion because she is just too straightforward (friends don't say mean thing, but rarely on this situation)

maybe i have a change of mind and i want to exchange it, but will they be able to accept my request? am i being selfish but i want my dress to be perfect and by doing so, is it an insult to the boutique's ownerI have a problem with my prom dress, i seek advice again, plz help?
...remind me who is waring the prom dress? ...your sister, your mom, your friends, or YOU? Take the dress back if YOU'VE decided it isn't quite right, and buy the one YOU think is perfect!!

Don't worry about insulting the boutique. I am sure you are not the first to return a dress... and have a terrific time at YOUR prom!!! ( :I have a problem with my prom dress, i seek advice again, plz help?
It doesn't matter what your mom, sister, or friends say about your dress. All that matters is if you like it. If you decide you want a different one, take it back and tell them that they didn't give you a receipt. Then go here http://www.google.com/products?q=prom+dr鈥?/a> and find one you do like. At the bottom they have a place where you can type in your price range.

Has he emotionally left the relationship? I really seek advice!?

ok first i just had a baby 9 wks ago. i also have a 3 1/2 yr old. both girls. my husband was really hoping for a boy but he is happy with a girl. i think?

latley we have been fighting alot. im tierd as u could imagine, and hes being really lazy. He has 2 part time jobs to make up for a full time. he works 2 nightshift at one and the day at another. so it does throw his schedual off a bit. but all he does is sleep when hes here, or play video games or watch mma shows on the net. hes not really interested in me or the kids. i braught it upto him kinda hoping he would talk and open upto me and he kinda got his back up and said I begged him for another baby, and its my fault, i made my bed now lie in it. like what the hell is that suppost to mean. he doesnt want to help and is basically telling me he is unhappy. last night he was saying i was begging him for another baby and he just finally ';gave'; me one. which really hurt my feelings and made me feel like **** cause we planned her together.. what is going on in his head, what would make him say this to me. he has been sleeping for at least 10 -12 hrs now, but i dont want to wake him, i dont care to see him. Is he done with us? I want to rekindle the relationship and he just yells at me and says kids ruin romance and doesnt want to work at it. I catch him watching porn all the time, and it sucks cause I am more willing now then ever to have a sex life and that makes me feel terrible too... Im kinda feeling traped ... he doesnt love me does he?Has he emotionally left the relationship? I really seek advice!?
The truth is one of the hardest things you will ever have to hear. It may be true that you planned your little girl (which I'm sure is precious) but, in his mind he has titled her as ';your baby'; that you ';begged him'; for, and that's the only truth he knows. I feel for you, I'm in a similar situation with my husband, although he isn't as mean. I reccomend counseling, but if that's not possible, this is really a matter of how much you are willing to sacrifice. I'm sure its not too late, and he still loves you, he is frustrated with the lack of intimacy too. You have to work harder, make time for the two of you, I have been spending the evenings working to get my 7 week old to sleep long enough for us to make love or just cuddle and enjoy each other. Whatever you do, don't accuse or blame him for the problems, men are pretty simple, and they want things simple, if the baby is in your room find a place for her away from you two. I put the bassinet in our bathroom and turn the shower on, the warmth and sound keeps her sleeping, and it gives us privacy. You will lose more sleep, you will be uncomfortable dressing up everyday, but, if you want it to work, you need to do it. Be chipper, happy, pretty and non complaining and your energy will radiate!!

Good luck : )Has he emotionally left the relationship? I really seek advice!?
I think he's being selfish and childish. He needs to man-up and recognize this is his life now and everything works better when both partners do their fair share. The kids are there to stay, and wishing they weren't there won't do any good. It's difficult for me to have sympathy for him because many men have gone through a similar situation, and they help the way a man in a relationship should help. I also find it difficult to understand why he doesn't seem to have a natural affection for his own children.

Unfortunately I don't know how you change his behavior. Complaining too much will drive him away. But I also don't think you can just let him off the hook. I'm sorry I can't offer more help.
Tell him that either HE can be the man and hold you: or another man will.

** the previous answers really don't understand because they've never done this very hard thing you are doing!

What about your being stressed? What about your being depressed? You are the one with the involuntary hormone fluxuations! Tell him that he can stay home all he wants and cook and clean and take care of the babies, while YOU go out an get two part time jobs (way EASIER gig than all you do at home!) and tell him you EXPECT the house and kids to be in the same order you pull now.

MEN HAVE THE EASIEST GIG! Go out to work and come home- eat, sleep, $h!T- so f*ckin' easy!

I don't have the time to write the list of what women have to do PLUS make sure that the marriage is flowing? Screw it- if he doesn't want to care for you- there are LOADS of men out there who are lonely and ready for a marriage with beautiful children to mold (even baby girls!)
Just hold tight and be strong for the kids. I know you are stressed and maybe even a little depressed. He sounds extremely immature though. Good luck.
He is overwhelmed. If you want to rekindle the relationship you have to be kind to him. Kill him with kindness. Look past every nasty thing he says until, he stops. He will stop. It takes two to fight. It only takes one to make a positive change.
This does not sound like a man who wanted another child, or if he did, the reality is more difficult than he anticipated. All you can really do is try to talk to him and hope this improves. I'm sorry you're so alone in this.
Wow! sounds like he is a real jerk!! If my man ever said that stuff to me I would be out! Your girls should not grow up thinking his behavior is acceptable. He is a selfish person, who doesn't think.....at all. I am so sorry to hear he treats you this way. Especially since you JUST HAD A BABY!!! F*** him. Wait, don't.
he probably feel s overwhelmed. he has two jobs (yes i know they are part time) two kids and a wife that wants him to come home from work and pay attention to her. he probably just wants to relax after work and before he goes to his next job. he may have thought that this was the life he wanted but now that he has it he may have realized that this isn't what he wants. it's a lot of work being a husband and a dad and having two jobs. try to talk to him and see if he will tell you what is going on. don't attack him just tell him you know he is under a lot of stress and that you are worried about him.
Leave him alone. He works two jobs for goodness sake!
Sounds like he possibly could be suffering with depression, men tend to vent it out through anger. Also, those depressed tend to sleep a lot and take themselves away from things. (my husband deals w/ depression) I would try suggesting counsling, either individual for him or couples. It could help with communicating better and understanding why he is unhappy. It could possibly be ';the kids';, maybe he wasn't exactly ready for the responsiblity even though he may have wanted them and now he doesn't know how to react or work on it. Try talking a bit more and simply tell him how you feel and that you are not trying to burden him or put any blame on him, you just want to work on things together. Trying to talk about things in a different way could really help.

Why do you think we seek the advice of priests or religious men?

aren't we equal in the eyes of God?....i dont understand why people confess to them or why do people say they are more experienced than us..how?Why do you think we seek the advice of priests or religious men?
It is a deception that you can get past the sin in your life by just confessing to God. You need to be accountable to someone on the earth that can hear where you have failed and give advice or a plan of action to help you do better in the future.

The office of priest does not indicate that he is perfect of better than you only that he has taken vows to help you on the path toward God and keep your secrets to himself. Why do you think we seek the advice of priests or religious men?
the bible teaches the value of a multitude of counselors

I ask my pastor stuff all the time

sometimes I just can't see beyond the situation

ultimately though I must do what the Lord leads me to as long as it does not contradict his revealed will as given in the bible.

in other words, I don't have to ask anyone or pray to god asking if I should commit adultery, it's already in there as wrong.

We are to carry one anothers burdens too

Jesus wants us to help each other it's how he decided things should be done.
because they had their mind brainwashed: religious teach to obey.
because some of them knows more spiritual stuff than us
Because instead of being responsible for our own actions we gave the responsibility to someone eles.So we can go on our merry complacent way thinking things are OK.When life goes wrong, loose money, house ,love everything.....we can blame everything but ourselves. All these people do is dress up in cloaks and masks and read from a book.
We are all equally dead without Christ, don't turn to the dead men for life but to the Lord always.
ideally,( i say this because in most cases priests are not really all that *pure*) people would go to priests and religious leaders because they would be so-called ';detached'; from worldly materials and sins. which is why they woudln't marry, have sex or engage in immoral behavior.
We are conditioned to prejudge people. Priests represent what is perceived as good and moral in society so people prejudge them as being good and moral without question. They often consider them as being above other people. This is why pedophile priests find it easy to get access to children because of peoples trusting nature to men of the cloth.

  • 1st time travellers to Buenos Aires seek advice from fellow travellers there as to hotels, tourist sites, etc.

Next month, we're going to Chile, Antartica, and Argentina. We'll only have four days in/around Buenos Aires and have never been.

    1. Where to stay? We'd like a moderately priced hotel that is clean, comfortable, and close to the city centre. Neighborhood must be safe. We don't care about conference space or anything like that. Any personal recommendations from recent visits?

    2. Best tourist sites for middle-aged, healthy couple, i.e., not interested in night clubs featuring, say, rap music. But a bohemian section of town might be fun. We'd be more interested in traditional culture.

    3. Any particularly good city bus tours?

    4. Best restaurants for really nice dining. More interested in quality of food than atmosphere, but ambience is nice, too. Caveat: we don't like seafood. Isn't the beef supposed to be fantastic? Pricey ok

    4. Any unusual, out-of-the way places not always on the tourist map that anyone might have experienced and really recommend?

Buenos Aires is the most European of all Latin American cities. You麓ll fall in love with the city the minute you land. Don麓t miss ';asado'; (barbecue), ';bife de chorizo'; (something like T Bone steak, far better) and tango lessons offered at fine prices.

    Have a great trip!

    Hi Lew,

I would recommend you to stay in Palermo Viejo or Palermo Soho districts while in Buenos Aires.

Plaza Serrano (Serrano Square) has a nice atmosphere, full of restaurants and coffee places apart from being close to everything.

Puerto Madero and Recoleta districts are not to be missed and of course La Boca, very charming suburb.

Please check the link bellow for more info on things to do in Buenos Aires.

How much is it to just seek advice from a law firm?

    how much would that cost?

~I moved out of my apartment in July, 2008

~I paid the Rent for August, 2008

    ~my least ends December 15, 2008

~I gave my landlord a 30 day notice end of June, just like the lease says I should do If I'm going to move out. I lost my job so I wouldn't be able to handle anymore rents.

~landlord says that If I pay for August and leave before the second week of August I don't have to paid for the remaining months on my lease. That's what I did.

~My water and Electricity was turned off end of July because I couldn't afford to pay for them for the month of August. I lived pay check to pay check.

~ My landlord kept my deposit and said that things in my apartment were broken. like the sink, but I remember telling the lady directing when we did the walk-through that the sink was wobbling. It's not broken, it wobbles.

~Today my landlord is trying to get me to pay Extra Rent %26amp; Extra for damage that I didn't Do?

~Even if my landlord kept the deposit, the total my landlord wants me to pay is 2 months worth of rent.

~ SHould I pay it? I have all the information. Except my landlord never gave me a copy of my 30-notice. Still have not gotten my deposit back. How much is it to just seek advice from a law firm?
I can guarantee you that the cost of a lawyer will far exceed the amount you owe your landlord.

Unless you got something in writing stating that you are not responsible for the remainder of the lease, you are still responsible for the rent until the lease ends.

Regarding the extra damage, you don't list the extra damage. Get an itemized list of damage. If the sink is wabbly, it is damaged and isn't a normal wear and tear expected, so you are responsible.

Did you do a walk through before you moved in? If not, take this as a lesson learned in the importance of a careful walk through both before and after you move in.

Is it ok/safe if I seek advice here about a screenplay I wrote?

Hi I'm an aspiring screenwriter, I copyright all my work and register all of them with the WGA as well. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to post my logline/summary on here for some advice on it. Reason is I am having some issues with the overall execution with my concept even though the concept itself is very original, there are some believability issues (then again a lot of movies have those issues like ';Armageddon';, etc. yet they still get made).

So should I post it on here or no? Please dont tell me to seek a script doctor they cost too much. This is much easier on here and quicker and its for free.Is it ok/safe if I seek advice here about a screenplay I wrote?
I wouldnt post anything on here that you call your own work.

Ideas are too easy to steal. Is it ok/safe if I seek advice here about a screenplay I wrote?
I wouldn't recommend you post in here. Join a writer's group, a screenwriters Group online, there are many free ones and very good. I am a screenwriter myself and I have been posting and receiving critiques that are very helpful. Besides you would be posting amongst your peers (screenwriters as you are)

    Good Luck!!
sure....if there are any good ideas I will steal them

    good luck

from the writer of TV shows
I think it would be A-ok. The only restrictions on here are if your question gets reported (which is unlikely in your case) or cursing. Which you can easily substitute.

Is it prudent for women/men to seek advice, insight, and conversation from other men when they are married?

Today's society has very relaxed rules as it pertains to the what is proper etiquette between men and women, and because of it infidelity, divorce, and STDs are at an all time high. It is my view that once men and women are in committed relationships or married they need to be a damper on seeking advice, insight, and conversation from members of the opposite sex. Far too often ';male'; and ';female'; friends have ulterior motives and hidden agendas when dishing out relationship advice. After all is said and done when one decides upon a companion of the opposite sex it should be a person intelligent enough to resolve the issues that will arise or at least sensible enough to seek out a solution and bring it back home.Is it prudent for women/men to seek advice, insight, and conversation from other men when they are married?
you are right but i suppose that us humans just need to feel validated. but most trouble begins when we bring others into our relationshipIs it prudent for women/men to seek advice, insight, and conversation from other men when they are married?
It is not okay only because this has so much potential for turning into a relationship. I have seen this happen.
Its not always alterior motives or secret agendas, its more the fact that seeking comfort from the opposite sex will lead you more into their arms because they understand and you can cry on their shoulder, and further away from your spouse. My husband and I both agree not to go to the opposite sex for advice or comfort. There are exceptions of course... siblings and cousins. But in general, it's never a good idea and usually leads to disaster
    Agreed.

Me and my husband do not allow anyone into our union. Physically, spiritually or otherwise.
I disagree. The happiest, most resilient people are the ones with more strong relationships, with both genders. Research confirms this over and over again. Different people offer different perspectives and other sources of support. I don't like stereotyping, but often a ';female perspective'; or ';male perspective'; can be helpful. Why limit your friendships to half the people you might otherwise connect with in some fashion?

If your spouse is committed and you can trust him/her, then you have nothing to worry about. If not, then your relationship is on rocky ground regardless. As for ';friends'; with ulterior motives, these aren't true friends and you and your spouse will figure that out quickly enough. You should be sharing information enough to figure that out.
Seeking advice from and confiding in a person of the opposite sex is the first step to an affair. My husband and I have an agreement that we will not discuss each other and our marriage with the opposite sex. It is great, though, to have these discussions with members of the same sex who have stable, strong marriages. Their advice can be invaluable.

Vitamins? What best professional to seek advice from?

I know that many people can be VERY passionate about their vitamins, but...I have never taken any. As I am getting older now, I feel like this may be a good time to learn a thing or two about what types of vitamins I sould be taking. I do not want to talk to my friends about it but would rather know what specific professional advice I should seek. I have not found a medical physician to give much advice other than ';you should take a daily balanced multi.'; Would a nutritionist be able to help, or is there another professional I have not thought about. I would really like a regimine that would be tailored to my needs.

Thanks for guidance.Vitamins? What best professional to seek advice from?
    I think a nutritionist would be your best bet. There's a helpful site at the Mayo Clinic website about vitamins, supplements, and what they've actually been proven effective for. Go to http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/drug-in鈥?/a> and scroll to the middle of the page for the search box for vitamins under ';supplements.';

I was born on June 30,1973 at Lucknow,India at 7:30am. I seek help from people with interest in astrology.

I am undergoing Mahadasha of Shani, So far till the time I was under Shani's Sadhesati, I was getting good results in life. All my efforts gave fruit, but since June this year All my efforts have been wasted, I have not been able to concentrate on work or family, I have already lost my Job and no new one looks in sight

Please guide me whether this is because of shani or something else., and some steps that I can undertake to remediate shani's prakop on me (if any)Shani Mahadasha - Having Bad effects, Seek advice on consequesnces and remediation?
there is nothing like shani mahadasha. birth time also varies as all watches may not be in time. so do not worry for that. as after night day starts and after day it will be night. so same way in life. all the while if it remains same than life will be stereotype. there must be some hustlebustle. and your this period will pass away shortly and it will be with better results. have patience.

your worry justifiable as we all are human being.but please do not fall in trap of all this chakra of mahadasha. otherwise you will not be able to come out from that.

i will pray for you. god bless you.Shani Mahadasha - Having Bad effects, Seek advice on consequesnces and remediation?
In Shani mahadasha person rises spiritually much faster than any other Dasha. In wordly context there r some problems. Its wise to work hard and pray during Shani mahadasha Period.

Shani is the only one known as shaneshwara (means Shani Ishwara)
Shani will do no harm if u r not indulging in unethical jobs,

donot worry, shani's effect depends on ascendant so u must mention that also, anyways

    be a shivbhakta.

Shaney means slow. So Shani is a slow moving planet and gives results slowly. Shani is related to spirituality, sewa(serving for humanity), truthfulness. He is a Judge and gives results according to your karmas.

ANSWERS is a place to seek advice right? So who thinks they've got the best advice to a girl who needs it?

What's a girl got to get a boys attention without putting herself out there as slutty or snobby?

    details:

[1] I'm really reallyy attracted to this guy at school who happens to be those good looking SHY guys

[2] I don't think he knows I exist. The only time we ever made contact was at our homecoming dance, I guess one of his friends told him something I'm not sure how it happened but he grabbed my hand to go dance. During the song we got eachother's name and after the song was over we walked away [odd, i know]ANSWERS is a place to seek advice right? So who thinks they've got the best advice to a girl who needs it?
Well girl let me say that first off you got it bad for this guy! Listen cutie you can do two things here...You could either let him know how you feel as soon as possible and just see how it goes or you can stand by and hope that he makes the first move in which case he might not and you lose the chance to be with him. Some other girl might not be as scared as you to go up to him and tell him how they feel and may snatch him up right underneath your nose! Dont let this happen cutie...If you like him tell him before it might be too late...Good luck cutie and let me know how it goes! Remember to smile! Life is sweet and so are you!

Can I Seek Advice from my Ex-fiance's sister?

Hello. I just separated from my fiance of two years. I am having a hard time getting over the breakup because a part of me still has feelings for him but I realize that it was time to let go. We separated because he gave me chlamydia last year and I chose to stay with him but after one year, I still couldn't overcome my doubt and feelings about him. Everyone on both sides of the family know why we are separated. I don't have too many female friends to talk to about this, but I was pretty close to my fiance's sister. Would it be appropriate for me to talk to her about how I am feeling? I'm kind of in between because I don't want to put her in an awkward position by talking about how I feel about her brother, but I also need to talk to someone who is a little older than myself and more experienced. This has been my first and only relationship so I'm not sure if I am dealing with everything okay. Can I Seek Advice from my Ex-fiance's sister?
Wrong person. Totally unfair to her. Don't you have ANYONE else? Your mom, a sister-in-law, the next door neighbor? A co-worker (leave out the STD, just vaguely talk about cheating), someone at the bus stop? Seriously, ANYONE but her. She will tell him what you say.Can I Seek Advice from my Ex-fiance's sister?
If she's comfortable with it, and the two of you were already close during the relationship; then I don't see a problem with it as a temporary means of support. You really should try to expand your network of friends though. Go to community events, join a group related to your interests... etc.. etc.. That will not only be good for you in the long run, but it will also help get your mind off the recent split.

Best of luck to you in this trying time.
Don't involve her. You need to see this guy for what he is.

Seeking advice on where to stay in Crete. We are looking for a traditional atmosphere, away from city bustle?

My husband and I are hoping to travel to Crete in August, and need advice on where to stay/travel on the island. We would like to stay in a small village, somewhere rural and ideally on the coast. Any general or specific advice would be appreciated, thanksSeeking advice on where to stay in Crete. We are looking for a traditional atmosphere, away from city bustle?
If you want to be really off the beaten track try Mochlos, about 3/4 hour east of Agios Nikolaos. My husband and I rented a cottage there, but there are studios as well. Very small fishing village, little but nice beach, great tavernas, and a short drive to the National Road (up a big hill, but you get used to it) so you can tour the rest of the island and then come back to your hideaway. http://www.east-crete.com/mochlos.htm is a web site about Mochlos - we found the little beach a lot nicer than this web site makes it seem. Here is the email address for the cottage we rented - the owners were super and the facilities superb. They seem to have some vacancies for late August http://www.vacationvillas.net/Greece/Cre鈥?/a>

If you want to stay in West Crete, you might try one of the properties owned by Pure Crete http://www.purecrete.com/ - I'm a Lassithi (East Crete) fan myself, but many prefer the West. Just stay away from the tourist traps where foreigners come mainly to drink, and you'll have a great time.

The backseat of my 2001 VW Beetle is stuck upright. Any advice before I have to seek a mechanic?

On the back of the seat, there is a zipper. Under the zipper is a bracket with 2 hex screws. I would look in this area for anything restricting the movement. I would also look at the 2 points where it swivels, on the outer bottom back edges of the seat. If there is nothing obstructing the movement in those areas, and you're depressing the big button on the top of the back seat, and it still doesn't move, then you probably do need a mechanic involved.

Just another quick thing - when you try to put the backrest portion of the seat down, have you at that point pulled forward (using cloth tab) and flipped up the seat portion of the back seat? Because the backrest portion will not budge unless the seat portion is first flipped up.The backseat of my 2001 VW Beetle is stuck upright. Any advice before I have to seek a mechanic?
First check all around to see if there is any obstacle there or lock in wrong position.

if no obstacles,u press it inward and press down.

It has to sit in position and get locked on the clip on system.

if u r unable to do it,just go to a auto panel beater to get it fixed.

U dont break anything by trying,if u are not sure.

Seeking advice from clinical psychologist about clinical psychologist?

Under what circumstances would a professional clinical psychologist disappear without notifying his/her patients for over a month? Aren't there protocols that are supposed to prevent that sort of thing?Seeking advice from clinical psychologist about clinical psychologist?
There should be very few circumstances under which this would occur. The death or illness of the psychologist or some type of crisis in the psychologist's life would be an example. If at all possible, the psychologist would be expected to notify clients - or have someone in her/his office do so. If this is not just a theoretical question - i.e., if this has actually happened, you might consider contacting the psychology licensing board where you live. Every state and province has one - they should be made aware if something like this has occurred.

  • It happened to me..........and is happening continuesly ..so i seek your advice?

3 years before a girl who was not so familiar to me asked me to marry her but I flatly rejected her proposal. After three months I happned to know that she had committed suicide because of my rejection. Therfore, I kept on thinking that as my refused killed her I became the greatest sinner in the world. Now i can do nothing except contemplating deeply regarding this.

So please could you save my life by all meanse making my mind peaceful again.

I seek forward to your advice

Thank you so much for your great considerationIt happened to me..........and is happening continuesly ..so i seek your advice?
every one gave you great answers i am satisfied with that only.It happened to me..........and is happening continuesly ..so i seek your advice?
Man, I guess you've been told this several times but YOU ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR HER DEATH.

Why would you marry a woman you hardly knew? Do you really think it was a bad idea to turn her down?

For your message I assume you're a religious man. Pray for her soul and carry on with your life.
What knowledge do you have that she committed suicide because of your refusal to marry her? Even if you have substantial evidence, have you asked yourself how stable she was regardless of your relationship with her? Are others blaming you for this? I say, mourn in your own manner, pray that she is now at peace and take care of yourself. Two people ending their lives is no answer...if you have fears of hurting yourself, please see a professional.
Do you know for sure that her suicide is directly related to your refusal?

Did she contemplate to kill herself because of your big NO?

Didn't she entertain suicidal thoughts before?

Did you lead her into believing that you were seriiously interested in her?

If your answers to these questions are ';no,'; (I supposse this to be the case) then you're the only one who can bring your worries to full stop because it was she the one who took that decision on her own. You didn't kill her.
if she was that much stupid to kill herself because of you and your refusal ...hmm!she really had to die!and if not...why do you bother yourself?there is no time!you wont be able to get back the passed time!
If what u say is what had happened,,then you got nothing to blame yourself about,,She has sociological problems that could had infiltrated your life and your future , and you lucky you didn't have children from her..so think about the positive side..that should relax you..
For her to have committed suicide and make you feel this way is very selfish of her. You can't marry someone you don't love, you just can't. Think about if you HAD accepted her proposal, but then you would have lived your life meaninglessly. Would you rather have lived a miserable life, than the one that you wanted to live? Honestly, if she has killed herself, she made a bad decision in her life, but at least you know what you want. Don't feel bad, she did this because SHE wanted to, not because you wanted her to.
Hey you, it was her decision and her actions that caused her demise. She apparently was expecting someone outside herself to make her happy. It doesn't work that way. She would've found something else to be unhappy about even if you had married her. Tons of things happen to us throughout our lives to create feelings of guilt. That guilt weighs us down and prevents us from lighting up the lives of those who deserve and appreciate it. Free yourself from the weight, it was not your fault, and allow light to fill your heart again so that you may share a real love with another when you're ready.

    Blessings
I understand your guilt. However, this girl was disturbed and had problems that had nothing to do with you. She was ill and may not have been able to help herself. It is too bad she didn't get the help she needed, but it is not your fault.

If you really can't get over this, please talk to someone; a therapist, minister, or older adult.

    Good luck to you.
Oh please.. She didn't even know you and killed her self because you didn't wanted to marry her? Well she is clearly a nut case and there is nothing you could do about it..

Unless you lied and deceived her. Was she your girl friend? Did you sleep with her? Where was she from?

You didn't marry her, its your lost. About a million dollars insurance money...kidding/
just think of it this way. YOU'D probably commit suicide if she turns out to be some kind of person you'd never want to marry after marrying her.

it wasn't your obligation to marry her but to help her problem at that time. i don't want you to feel guilty but i guess you should have at least helped solve her problem in a way that you didn't have to marry her. maybe she was having some problems that she needed someone to listen to her.

anyway she's dead now. all you can do now is pray for her soul and ask God for forgiveness if you feel guilty or ask Him for peace of mind too.

Do you always seek advice before making a decision?

yes for big decisions, but really it doesn't influence my decision much. I keep my own council and I know when I've made the right choice. it's really just a formality, know what I mean?Do you always seek advice before making a decision?
Not always....but pretty regularly.Do you always seek advice before making a decision?
If it is a big decision, or if I'm confused about which route to take, I ask my closest friends for their opinions first.
no way!! Some things have to to be left to my own decisions b/c there are times when nobody understands where you are coming from. Act on impluse sometimes, but other times think your choices through.
    Not always
Yea!.. In fact i try not to have to make decisoins at all!.. Then you cant feel bad about chosin the wrong one!..
    Let me ask my wife.
    No, only rarely....
I can't even decide on green beans or black eyed peas for dinner! When it comes to big things I have to get advice from my mother, my boyfriend, my best friend, my co-workers, and sometimes people on answers before I come to a complete decision.
No, I am more than capable of making a decision on my own. I have a strong beautiful woman with common sense, a good education and plenty of life experience to figure out on how to make my choice. Why do I need advice for every decision?

    lol

    have a lovely day!
    Unfortunately, No!

But i certainly should with my track record of bad decisions!!
    No.
Not usually. Today I am struggling and I just sent an email to my good friend asking what she thought. Sometimes I just need another grown up.

How to clean a cream leather sofa-advice sought after?

    Dear All.

I have just purchased a cream leather sofa from a work colleague. However the sofa has been used somewhat and is very dirty. Have used traditional leather cleaners specifically designed for sofa's but to no avail. Could anyone shed any light and advise on what else might work to remove the dirt from the sofa.

Thanks a million!!!How to clean a cream leather sofa-advice sought after?
i my self have a cream leather sofa and to keep it clean or to get any stubborn stains off i use baby wipes. they work wonders and it always looks like new. all the leather cleaner i used just feed the leather and dint tend to clean it. so try the baby wipes and kind will do.How to clean a cream leather sofa-advice sought after?
use soapy water and wipe off- while it's still damp- rub in the leather conditioner to prevent the leather getting dry and cracking. It's cheap cheerful. And works wonders- i have white leather had them for 11 years now- they're still great.
Use shout spray and wash this stuff works everywhere!

    CC
Pledege multi-surface wipes or better yet Mr.Clean sponge pads!!!!!!!!!!!
i chap i know is a car trimmer and he also cleans old vintage car seats rolls royce mecedes etc ready for weddings all he uses is lux flakes nothing else and it does the job its cheaper to buy so he makes more profit give it a try

he did a chestefield setee and the dirt came off no poblem
You need to use a good quality water based foam leather cleaner. Maxi cleaner if it really dirty or with dye transfer which is usually the problem on a white or pale colour

DO NOT use anything containing oils, waxes or silicones. (Most 'conditioners' contain waxes or oils)

BABY WIPES are the worst thing you can use as they will destroy the finish on your leather. They are very strong alkiline cleaners to neutralise urine (acid) on babys skin so they are not the right thing to use on leather.

Saddle soap is too harsh to use on todays furniture.

A lot of leather wipes contain chemicals which will aslo destroy the finish or leave residues on the leather which will damage it. They are not cheap in the long run as you would need a lot to clean a whole leather sofa. A bottle of foam cleaner should do your furniture 1-2 times.

You should also follow this with a good water based leather protector which will act like a 'scotchgard' and inhibit dirt and stains from being absorbed and make cleaning easier the next time.

If the leather has dye transfer from clothing or is very very dirty you can use a stronger cleaner called maxi cleaner which will probably bring it up well but must be used with care as it is a strong product developed especially for this kind of problem.

Leather care consultants to the furniture and cleaning industries
Get Wonder Wipes from your local builder's merchant or DIY store. They are 'industrial strength' but mild enough not to cause damage to the surface of the leather. Don't use on dark colours though as there could be a patchy result.
THIS ONE YOU SHOULD READ !!!

Unless the cream leather sofa has color loss (will explain at the bottem) An old cream leather piece will need a decent cleaner that is safe on the finish and some elbow grease...

Most wipe on wipe off cleaners will not get the dirt deep in the creases. Look up NO BULL LEATHER CLEANER and follow the instructions for deep soil... You can combine a very soft bristle brush (like used to brush a horse) You will basically be lathering up the cleaner, light brushing and then a dry cloth to remove the dirt... RESULTS CAN BE HUGE.

Now a little caution... If the leather is turning sort of a greyish color the finish may be starting to wear down. It is important that this not be mistaken for soil because hard rubbing on this can make the problem worse... you are welcome to send a close up picture for a free evaluation... Good Luck

If you dont get anywhere with the cleaning suggestions you get on here, try a specialist cleaner,we got a leaflet through the door yesterday for a carpet and upholstery cleaners and a leather suite was only 拢25 to clean,a sofa probably wouldnt cost too much.
I am in the cleaning business and here is our secret!

Try this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!

I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out鈥?hope this helps鈥teve
Try car cleaning products - STP Son Of A Gun or Armorall! Both readily available from car accs shops!

Both break down greasy, smoky deposits!
Use saddle soap from a western or farm store! It works wonderfully! On really tough areas, a little murphy's oil shouldn't hurt...just test in a hidden area. Lots of luck to you!
Someone on here recommended to me Lord Sheraton Leather wipes. I got mine from Tesco. they are about 拢2.50 ish and were very good.

Alternatively I saw on 'how clean is your house' they used washing up (neat) liquid but you have to clean the sofa afterwards several times with a damp cloth to get the soap out then dry the sofa with a dry cloth. I would try this method on an unseen area first though

Seeking advice from anyone with an Ebay Store/Ebay experience?

I alway wanted to have a tack shop and eBay seems like a logical choice to have one. Does anyone have an eBay store that can give me some pointers on how to proceed, what to stock, what to avoid etc? I would appreciate hearing from folks who have some actual experience. Thank you!Seeking advice from anyone with an Ebay Store/Ebay experience?
Your're right in thinking eBay is the perfect place for a tack shop, however there is quite a bit of competition in selling tack and consumables relating to horse riding.

You also have to make sure you concentrate on a specific niche, ie; saddlery or rugs or grooming products, etc and ensure you sort out your supply chain before you start selling.

The best possible thing I can recommend is Make Your Net Auction Sell, (MYNAS), an ebook which is your one-stop complete guide to building a successful Internet auction business.

The approach is unique and powerful and you will not read this in any other auction book, at any price, anywhere on or off the Net.

Ken Evoy of SiteSell sold the first version of this book at $30 for years. Now, they allow sitesell members to give it to you free for one very good reason... While you will know enough to follow all the ideas and strategies on your own, they hope that once you see the power and quality of this process, that you will use their flagship product to execute the strategies... but that is completely up to you.

No matter what you choose to do, you will gain invaluable and useful information. So you can't lose.

I have used the strategies and advice in the book to set up succesful ebay shops relating to both my www.localriding.com and www.antique-mark.com websites

You should open it and save it now, its free, then read it twice before trying to setup your tack shop.Seeking advice from anyone with an Ebay Store/Ebay experience?
I just bought a Stubben saddle 2 days ago and then got 2 alerts from Ebay saying that they thought this was a fraudulent transaction and that they wanted me to report it to Paypal and my credit card company - I'm pissed to say the least.

I've bought stuff off Ebay for a few years and this is the first time something like this has ever happened and it will be interesting to see how much help Ebay and Paypal are with this.
A friend of mine has a tack shop in Ca %26amp; sells stuff on the side. What I see is that people want cheap price things. She gets E mails often people offering prices too cheap. Like below her coast of a saddle. Then they(Pay Pal) do not pay you the ';owner'; all your money at one time. But selling little items move. But then shipping coasts, they charge by the size of the box not by the weight of the box. To ship a saddle it is not cheap.... If you have more questions you can Email me. Hope this helps.
Ebay has a wonderful help section on running a store. I don't think you will find better advice anywhere else. Have been considering opening one myself to sell my handknits.

Depends on the type of advice and the situation, usually I go to my friends because they are objective and don't try to make my decision for me. They give their opinions and don't harp on me about the situation.Would you rather seek advice from a family member or a friend?
from a friend... my family has no idea what the hell they are doing...
    family first then you
Combined i guess i would seek my mom and my best friend
    A friend.

They tend to know you better.
Family member, my Dad hasn't steered me wrong yet. Even though I haven't always listened.
Both but sometimes a friend is less involved and more candid.
For me it depends on the problem. Each of my friends and family members have their own set of strengths and weaknesses. For example, Mom is a terrific gardener, cook and has great common sense, Dad knows everything about things with wheels, I have friends that are stay at home moms, pa's, computer dudes etc so I direct my question accordingly. Of course if I don't know anyone I come to answers and someone (stranger) always has some great advice. :D

    Ear Problem, Seek Advice?

A Couple Of Months Ago I Noticed The Hearing In My Stronger Ear (Right) Has Gradually Reduced And When Someone Shouts It Gives A Sharp Pain In My Ear, What Im Asking Is What Is The Cause If It And How Do I Stop It?

EDIT: by the way i have already tried blocking my ear from sound for a week and i have tried asking my dad to take me to a doctor but hes always too busy.Ear Problem, Seek Advice?
most common cause for such problems is wax in your ear...

if u have tried cleaning the ear using ear bud, then u might have pushed the wax deep inside, towards eardrum, ....

U need to see an ENT doctor to get ear cleaned.. do not attempt to clean urself,.. it will cause more problems...

Other common cause is nose blocks -- then also u need to see a doctor

if it is due to listening to loud music, then giving rest for 3-4 days should make it go away...

these are the common things i see in my practice as audiologist..

now if ur father cannot take ur father in a day or two, u can get 'waxol' eardrops in phramacy and put it in ur ears... it is safe and it may get the wax out...

or wait till ur father can take u to the doctor

Been given advice to find positive people, to exercise more, seek help, etc. What to do if no of it works?

Hi, in past questions i've been given advice to try to do things positive like exercise, go out more, find someone positive to talk to, go seek help (and/or get medication). Problem i'm finding is none that advise has altered the state i'm at. At first I questoned if I was even trying or if I wanted help, though realized I was at least making the effort before.

Guess I'm just trying to figure out what is it I haven't tried to do yet since i feel like i have tried the options previously stated.

Sorry, i guess i should expand it further later to describe my situation, though.Been given advice to find positive people, to exercise more, seek help, etc. What to do if no of it works?
Hmmm... since the good advices didn't work, maybe you should try focusing on here for a while... here on Yahoo! Answers. You will see that not only yourself has the worst problem(s). A lot of people on here have problems, too... and maybe you could find them to be even worse once you read them. But somehow, I feel they rather hang on a little further after reading some encouraging advices or their sympathy. Most people on here give kind answers and you will see that somehow they're doing their best to give you the advice that they assume you need. Are you some kind of a depressed person? Seek refuge on here for a while but just don't look at the bad ones. Relate yourself to others who may be as depressed as you are if you want to. You will see that you're not alone.Been given advice to find positive people, to exercise more, seek help, etc. What to do if no of it works?
You want to get off medications. I hope this is with your doctor's approval.

Indeed people will give you good advice but that is all it is! Advice. What they think is good for you, as per their perceptions of your own good. Just as you know what is good for you. Sometimes exercise can seem a little daunting, you may not be in the required state of mind/health to attend a gym or run for miles.

So make a balance. For instance, why not start walking, try walking in different environments, say urban, then through a forest, on a beach whatever! So walk and stop when feeling like it. You could maybe pick up stones, leaves, whatever! You could also take photographs, so as to make your walk a little more interesting. Then back home, look at what you picked up on your walk and think artistic talents! You might be able to turn stones, leaves, sea shells, whatever into a kind of craft, from painting them, arranging them, or who knows? Find out about them, the place where you walk and find yourself with a hobby.

Keep doing it and you'll find that you can, not only walk further and faster, but want to walk more, discover new places to walk. Maybe feel good enough to join a rambling club? Make new friends and, on days when you can't walk, enjoy doing something with what you picked up!
Maybe you are just seeking attention. Even negative attention is better than none at all, right? Here is a little checklist you can use to to determine what is true about how you think and act. B.E.A.C.H.S.

BELIEFS: What do you believe to be the truth about why you feel the way you do?

EXPECTATIONS: What do you expect to happen in the future, if things change, and if they stay the same?

ATTITUDES: What attitudes about your life have you developed which could be a barrier to changing the way you think?

COMFORT ZONES: Where, when, and with whom do you feel most comfortable? What might be changed to get a different out come?

HABITS: What habits have you developed which keep you engaged in negative or self-destructive behaviors?

SKILLS: What skills have you developed to avoid positive change, like lying to yourself, manipulating others or situations, etc.

How we think determines how we act. Repeating behaviors or thought patterns which aren't working for us only prevent us from feeling good about ourselves. Complete this checklist honestly and you'll begin to see patterns of behavior and thinking which are keep you from feeling happy or satisfied. Good Luck!
I had clinical depression years ago, and I found that working a job around people (even being a grocery clerk!), just to get out of the house, really helped me recover. I think helping people is the best treatment, and not sitting at home thinking of yourself. Psychology is hocus-pocus, and stay away from those freaky pills!!! They can have bad long-term effects, and I know someone who's trying to get off them and had a terrible time.
Start a daily wallking program, and see if there is someone you can walk with on a regular basis.

Take a class in a art or craft locally to expand your skills and increase your base of common ground with other people.

Keep trying. The condition of the human race is that we are here for the purpose of striving to improve our lot in life. Trying, failing, and trying again until you succeed is what life is all about, so get busy!
Give yourself a break, we cant be the life of the party all the time!

My wound cant be elaborated here as it contains adult material.

please suggest me a genuine forum which operates exclusively for women.thank you.Am an Indian girl, mentally hurt by relatives;need healing; Pl. suggest me a adult forum to seek advice?
Sorry about your pain, sweetie, but the best advice that I can give you is to not turn to forums, especially this one.

You may need to see a live counselor, they will be best suited to help you with your healing process.

There are a lot of jerks as well as predators on these on-line forums.

I think the result would be better if you talked to someone face to face instead of the computer.

Hope I helped.Am an Indian girl, mentally hurt by relatives;need healing; Pl. suggest me a adult forum to seek advice?
Sometimes your relative don't really know what they said, or don't know that you are hurt. Don't take them too seriously and best of luck.
well since you won't elaborate on your problem, how the heck are people supposed to help you!? And the Indian girl detail doesn't help much. But it's something to do with physical abuse, like sexual harrassment, you should seek the POLICE and a physcologist. If its mental abuse, like verbally putting you down, seek an adult that you trust or your counselor, teacher, etc.
    Hi,

I'm very sorry to hear about your troubles. Unfortunately families- who we put all her trust in- can hurt us very badly. I don't know any forums that would be suitable unfortunately- maybe you could use a search engine to find one. In the mean time, feel free to email me and we can chat in more detail. It sounds that you really need to talk. Good luck :)

sorry to hear about your family. good luck ...you will be in my prayers . sorry i didn't answer your question but I am new here.
If you are being sexually abused physically or mentally tell your teacher or Doctor and they can help you go to the Police. If these relatives are doing anything illegal you have no loyality to them as family, as they are not being family to you. Truly loving family do not do anything selfish in nature to damage the ones they love. Get help immediately!!!

You can find a lawyer who knows intellectual property law in the phonebook, or using legal referral services -- I like findlaw.com

I am a licensed attorney familiar with IP law, and I can answer copyright questions, and I don't charge for the first few simple issues. After that, reasonable rates.Where can I seek pro-bono copyright legal advice?
I doubt it. Pro bono is usually for the have nots who need legal help to get by in life.
Find an attorney in your area who specializes in this area. Most attorneys are happy to answer your questions free of charge, it's when you get into wanting to retain them or use them more than just to answer a simple question that they typically charge for services.

Seeking advice on how to begin planning for a trip to the UK (Manchester area) from NC for 4adults/2kids?

I'm looking to book a family oriented trip to the UK to see my sister who is stationed there. I would like to know what would be the best resources to follow up on. We do want to be budget conscious as well. Thanks for any advice in advance.Seeking advice on how to begin planning for a trip to the UK (Manchester area) from NC for 4adults/2kids?
Hi Gil. Your first stop should be either the library or a book store. Pick up a guide book or books on the UK in general and Manchester in particular. The guide book will help you get an idea of what there is to do and a rough idea of costs. Get everyone involved. By getting everyone involved in the planning you will find a better balance of things to do to satisfy everyones interests (especially the children). Also check out the travel websites (Expedia, Travelocity, etc.) for airfares and package deals. Some you can even have sent you price alerts, etc. Use the web! Check out the Manchester official tourism website ( http://www.visitmanchester.com/ ) and the UK website ( http://www.visitbritain.us/ ).

Also see what your sister has to add. She should be a great help in you planning (unless she's not allowed off base).

The travel guides should have a list of differences between the US and UK. The electricity is different, driving on the other side, etc. You are probably familiar with most of it but go through that section so you avoid some faux pas and understand a little more of what the locals are saying when you speak with them.

I hope that helps a little. It should get you started anyway.

Good luck and have a great trip!

Please read! i seriously seek advice from women!?

    i'm 16 and female!

i have irregular periods, since the first day i got them!

they only come for 1 day 1/2 or maybe 2 days ...that's it!

    i only need one pad!

everytime before i get my periods my face is full of pimples. especially around the jaw area and below my lip (if it makes sense)

i look horrible! please advice..what is this ???

plzzzzzzzPlease read! i seriously seek advice from women!?
Well I don't know exactly what it is called, but I seen a commercial for something to solve that issue ask your gyno and he will perscribe you with something to help it. The reason for the pimples is the extra estrogen. I hope it helps! Please read! i seriously seek advice from women!?
You are completely normal. You are blessed with short periods but terrible acne so the only thing you can do if it really bothers you is birth control to regulate your periods,
how long have you had your period? well for your pimples dont stress that makes them worse, get clean and clear morning burst and use it faithfully! about your period if you haven't had your period for very long (up to a year) then dont stress it is very normal not to be normal. if you been like this for more than a year see a doctor. its nothing serious but you should go to see if you can do anything about it!
dont think its anything to worry about!

spots are just your hormones, cant stop them

and your probs just irregular, thats it.
its normal i only have a light flow 2 days out of every month and i also get pimples but i get them the day before i start
you are probably producing too many hormones. If you have always had an irregular period then thats probably just the way you are...when your period has always been normal and suddenly becomes irregular is when you have to worry... Anyway make an appointment with a gyno.
the spots are due to hormone changes which happen at this time. just think yourself lucky that your periods are light. what your experiencing is quite normal so dont worry.
you should go and ask your doctor and PCOS, is cysts in your ovaries and the dr can get you a pill that will make you periods regular,
Nothing but hormones. Talk to your mom or the GYN. You're fine.
it is normal to get zits before and when u have a period and i know it sucks, but we have to live with it. what i do is as soon i start geting zits i fight them. i use zit take awayer and clean my face before it gets worst. and man u r luck u only have it a couple days. everyone is different when they have there period and talk to ur doctor if u have quations.
    THAT'S NORMAL
    ask your doc

he or she will really help
You should talk to a doctor because he/she would be more qualified than most people here to answer your question. I've always had irregular periods and the doctors seem to think I'm ok. I often wonder if I can have children but they said I will have to wait for that time to find out.
This is quite common, trust me you are not alone. It occurs because of the change in your hormone levels. Prior to your period, some people experience some symptoms to alert them that their period is on it's way. Sometimes, Doc's can prescribe a birth control pill that will help regulate your period and reduces acne as well. Do you have a Gynecological Doc ?? Have you had a Pap Smear yet?? Most Doc's will not prescribe a birth control pill unless, your Pap test is up-to-date and to be certain that you are not pregnant. Talk to your Mom about seeing a female Doc. I hope that this helped some.
well, irregular periods are normal, but usually only when you just started your period.

So, depending on how long ago you started getting your period, it should be ok.

As for the acne, my best friend get pimples too before her period, but not as bad as you described.

Maybe try using face cleansers? Everyday though, not just when you get pimples.
Have you ever been seen by a gynocologist? If not, you need to. I was one of those people that became sexually active at 14 (before my Jesus days) and did not see a gynocogist until I was 22 (because I had this weird unexplainable fear of them.) Please go. This is nothing to play around with. It may be normal, but the only way you will know is if you go. (BTW, the first time I went I had an abnormal pap smear...it was nothing, but if it was, how stupid would I have felt, knowing I waited this whole time when I had something wrong with me?)
I wish I had my period for 1 or 2 days. I have mine for a full 7 days! I don't breakout though. For the first few years my period was irregular. It's very common for ppl to breakout before or during their period. I heard that taking the birth control pill clears up your face but I wouldn't recommend it. You should look around for some acne medication. I hear that proactive is good bit I have never used it cuz I don't breakout bad.
lets just hope your not 80 pounds and 5 foot 10 inches........if you are extremly underweight it could definitely create some menstral problems...so could overtaking some vitamin and mineral supplements......
it is normal to get spots before you periods due to the increase in oestrogen (the hormone released prior to your period which triggers them) i get them every period! atleast one week before, its like a tell tale sign.. along with tender breasts and my tummy swelling up a little due to water retention..

now as for the irregular periods, this is pretty common for 2 yrs after your first ever period, as it can take this long for them to settle and to get into a regular pattern (a period that starts every 28 days and lasts for 5-7 days) how ever its strange that they are only lasting 1 1/2 to 2 days long, they should be atleast 5-7 days long.. mild on the first day, then heavy on the second and third day, then getting lighter for the rest of your period.. i advise you go visit your doctor just to be on the safe side, its probably a hormonal imbalance.. and the doctor may put you on the pill to help you get in to a regular pattern.. so you have a period every month

as for the spots... try face washing twice a day 2 weeks prior to the first day of your period..

hope this answer helps, dont worry too much, theyll work out soon, naturally or with medical intervention x
normal you are, be glad they are short periods...it won't be forever. the breakouts only get worse. try proactiv.
your hormones go up when you get your monthly friend, that's normal.

but if you've only had your period for maybe three years or less, you're 100% okay.

it'll take a while before you're completely regular.

also, pads need to be changed every 3-4 hours, so you shouldn't be using one pad for a two days cycle.

    otherwise, live it up!

the rest of us are just as normal, but we've got five-day cycles.

of course, see your doctor is best.

but you ought to be okay.

    good luck.

I've had a crush on a guy. I always run into him . i want to seek advice on how to express my feelings to him

Tell him! No emails; no text messages; no letters; not even a phone call if you can avoid it. Tell him in person and don't play any games or beat around the bush. It does nothing but cause confusion. Telling him is the only guaranteed way... otherwise he may think otherwise and go away.

In other words, just follow the Billy Joel song, Tell Her About It... except change the her to him!I've had a crush on a guy. I always run into him . i want to seek advice on how to express my feelings to him
You did not mention how well you know this fine young man. But all good relationships are founded on open and honest communications.

If you know him well enough to talk freely, why not tell him how you feel and ask him if he has any interest in you in a like manner. If he does, great! If not, you will have cleared the air and maybe strengthened a friendship by your candidness and honesty. You may be pleasantly surprised to find out he has been agonizing over how to tell you how he feels.

Good luck.I've had a crush on a guy. I always run into him . i want to seek advice on how to express my feelings to him
Flash your boobs..... nah just joking. How bout planning for the kill, what i mean is know where he goes. what will he do(just do this at your school you know why) like giving him a soft bump, for you its forced but to him he'll thinks it was an accident just dont get too obvious lol and like is this seat taken? you know what to do when his in reach. use every opportunity. to him its mere coincidence. be friends with him first, dont express yet.

because it all starts just being friends.
well if i was u i would ask him if u could talk with him and make sure u no somethings about him. say i have somethings i would like 2 say i have been having some fellings 4 u that i cant explain. and from there i think u no what 2 do.
Tell him that your dad is a mob boss and you could have him whacked if he deosn't go out with you, He will probably laugh and it might open a conversation where you can tell him how you fell
Try to be nice and talk to him, then when you feel your ready politely express your feelings towards him or something, Im not really an expert on this type of thing lol.
umm your a girl, so it should be easy, just talk to him and say ';you want to go to a moive some time'; and ether he'll say yes, or no.
just tell him. or get a friend to tell him. text him if you both have it and be like...can i ask you a serious question? then go from there.

    hope i helped :]

    good luck

    TELL HIM!!! :]
Yeah I would talk to him at least you get a direct answer then. You will know his response right away. Better than letter sometimes you don't get one back.
Just go up to him and tell him how you feel. I would maybe invite him to do something that you both enjoy doing.
Just go talk to him . Flirt a little bit, laugh at his jokes, smile a lot, he should get the hint.
if u have a crush don't tell him through an email or note.just try to be friends with him first
jus ttalk to him...tell him how you feel...
be nice to him and talk together
guys like honesty so honestly tell him how you feel kinda in private
    well compliment him!!

    guys love compliments..

and just tell him how u feel..

She will not have any problems breastfeeding simply because of small breast size. One of my friend has seek advice from me that his copartner breast size is absulately small, is there will be?
No, there won't be a problem, and there is no way to increase the breast size other than implants if she's finished growing. Why is he worried about this?
There are types of products to increase the breast size, and surgery is also an option, but may be too risky. And no, there shouldn't be any problem, she could be an A cup, it doesn't matter, she just needs boobs and if she's got them (even if there small) she can still breast feed, no doubt about that. Tell your friend this, he shouldnt be worried if he is trying to make a baby with her and the baby won't get any milk, lol, it will , so tell him not to worry. Good luck!

    BNO
    ill take some milk please
the size of a breast usually has nothing to do with breasfeeding ability . i was small chested my whole life, barely a 34b when i became pregnant with what else than TWINS. i breastfed my babies. my only problem was that i ran out of milk, do to the fact of making SO much so soon, and that i was extremely skinny and had no fat to support the production and storage of milk. i was told that breastsize had nothing to do with it, it was my bodys fat content.
Women's breasts enlarge through child birth. No one can say whether or not this person will be able to breast feed, all they can do is give it a shot.

It isn't as much the size of the breasts as it is the ability of the body to produce milk. Some women can do it, some can't.

Tell them to relax and what will be will be.

Oh, and if there is a desire for increased bust size, there is the option of implants if the woman wants to get them. However, this can interfere with the ability to breast feed.

    Truth
Have no fear. Breast size has very little do with being able to adequately nurse a baby. Even though breast size will get usually get bigger during pregnancy, the milk doesn't come in until two or three days after the baby is actually born. Check out La Leche League (website link provided). They are an international group that helps support breastfeeding women and their families. There is information in a number of different languages on their page. Congratulations to your friend and his partner for choosing to breastfeed their baby, it is one of the best gifts they can ever give their new child.

Breast size doesn't matter and no there is nothing you can do to make them bigger. Her breast and breast size will change during pregnancy and they will fill up with milk after she gives birth. My friend had very little breast but after she gave birth she had an abundant amount of milk and she had problems because she made to much milk for the baby but after a while your body adjust. I have d cups and I made very little milk and I had to supplement with formula, i had other medical problems that made it difficult for me to nurse. So again, breast size doesn't matter so don't worry. As long as she is healthy it will be fine. One of my friend has seek advice from me that his copartner breast size is absulately small, is there will be?
No, it shouldn't be a problem. Her body will produce what her baby needs.

Real estate investor new to the business seeks advice on how to buy great flips or rentals!!?

I am considering a career in buying under-valued homes, rehabbing them and flipping them or renting them out. What is a good rule of thumb or financial formula do investors use when determing what homes would make a great rental or flip?Real estate investor new to the business seeks advice on how to buy great flips or rentals!!?
If you are a speculator (which is what a flipper is) there is always the chance of losing money, so buy and repair on a cash basis so you don't get stuck upside down on a mortgage. And don't over-extend if you don't know what you're doing.Real estate investor new to the business seeks advice on how to buy great flips or rentals!!?
The best rule of thumb for someone without much real estate experience is to team up with an experienced buyer鈥檚 agent. They can help you sniff out the deals, advise you on what upgrades are appropriate for the area, and help you estimate the potential resale value. If you maintain the relationship so this agent knows you鈥檒l be a steady stream of business, you may be able to negotiate lower listing commissions as you sell your projects.
Currently investing in flippers is not a good idea. Unless you like to spend your money and end up losing your fix up funds.

With homes still being devalued do to the forclosures.

Rentals are a good sourse of later years of income. If you indeed place a 20-30% down payment and get the rentals below market values you will be good to go...You could also get partners in the venture as well this will keep your out of pocket expences down.

Seeking advice on cleaning carpets with steam versus shampoo?

I need to clean carpets throughout my house and am considering both hiring or buying a machine. The answers to previous carpet cleaning queries refer to experience with steam cleaners and alternative shampoo cleaners. Does anyone have the experience to tell me which of the two types of machine is best for two different types of carpet, i.e. a thick pile, sculptured carpet and also a flat pile carpet (which is much easier to clean).Seeking advice on cleaning carpets with steam versus shampoo?
The best solution for both types is the shampoo machine. This will clean the fibre and ensure the dirt stains are peprmanently removed. It does take longer to do and top dry but the results are better. Steam does work but only removes the surface stain and eventually the stain will re-appear as it works thro the fibr (milk stains are typical of this).

No doubt for me the shampoo option is the best.Seeking advice on cleaning carpets with steam versus shampoo?
the shampoo cleans the carpet better but it is wetter and breaks down the carpet fibers more and the padding stays wet if don't shampoo very often not a big deal but if you have your carpet cleaned often it will show wear on your carpet more than steaming
shampooer every time, and hire it , its not cluttering up the house then
I have found the shampooer just pushes the dirt around and in a week or so the stains will just come right back. With the steam which is really not steam, but for the sake of mention, it can scrub as well as suck up the dirt. I would rather have as much dirt sucked up then just push it around. Just have to be sure to go over the bad areas several times. Have heard there are some on the market that do a great job. I am researching this myself. My carpets were shampooed before I moved in and the dirt is still there, looked clean for a couple of weeks. I vote steam or hot water suction over pushing dirt around.
It is better to have a professional shampooer do it.when something is spilled on your carpet it goes through the carpet and the pad. So it your machine is not powerful enough it cleans the carpet and gets the pad wet, the carpet dries but acts like a sponge over time and soaks up the stain from the pad back into the carpet. so the stain comes, back, Also you have to remember if carpet gets to wet and stays wet then it can de-laminate meaning that the carpet fibers can release from the backing causing it to fall apart and start to wrinkle. if you can spot clean and only have a professional do it so they make sure to suck up all the water used.
The shampooer works really well, but leaves water behind, so if this is what you choose to do, remember to control the amount of water that you release. I have this machine as well as a steam machine with the double brush and side brush. The steamer cleans beautifully as well as removes the water. Usually, if the AC is running, the floor will be dry in a couple of hours.
I paid for a guy to come steam clean my carpets. They didn't look any different than before. I told him they still look dirty and he said that steaming doesn't make them look cleaner, shampooing does. Steam cleaning sanitizes them, getting rid of dust mites, allergens, etc, but doesn't do a thing for the top layer of the carpet where all the dirt shows. If you want them to look clean, shampoo them.

any advice on where to kill my time if i have to return the car on time? or how to keep the car til 5pm without being charged for another day?

thanksSeek advice on rental car-airport-sightseeing plan?
There is no way to keep the car and not be charged for another day. Most car rental companies charged based on a 24 hour day, rather than a calendar day.

Depending on what your price per day is, you may find that you would spend more trying to kill 6 hours at the airport than the cost of the extra day itself. Of course, you would have to take into account the full cost of the extra day including taxes and any optional insurance coverages if you purchase them from the car rental company.Seek advice on rental car-airport-sightseeing plan?
If you arrive at 10am why is it going to be a full hour after that till you can pick up your rental car? Budget, Enterprise and other car rental places are right there by baggage claim.

And what's more important to you - the $20-$30 more you'll pay for the extra day or having to get to the airport eight hours before your plane takes off? There's nothing too interesting near the airport and I would think you'd rather spend that time enjoying Seattle than bored to death in an airline terminal.
Check your luggage and take the Metro 140 from the airport to the Southcenter Mall. It's OK for shopping and has some nice restaurants like Bahama Breeze and The Rainforest Cafe.

The bus costs $1.50 and takes about 20 minutes to get there.
Take a taxi and go to the casino
you could try price line and bid for a cheaper 2 day rental

A doctor would be more advisable then a chiropractor. It has nothing to do with your back or neck.It most likely is your diet. When I sneeze, I perform flatulence. Is this natural/kinetic, or should I visit a chiropractor and seek advice
    Don't worry, it's normal.

Does it bother you the number of parents on this site that seek advice about...?

basic parenting skills. It burns me up when I see people saying things like, ';My child won't let me put a coat on them when it's 20 below zero outside';. Or ';How can get my child to stay in bed, they don't want to go to sleep and it's 2 in the morning.'; And, ';My toddler refuses to stay strapped in her carseat...'; It just drives me crazy when parents refuse to be parents! Our kids have enough friends and buddies, they need guidance and boundaries from their parents. But what always shocks me even more, is the number of people that provide them advice that just masks the real issue, ';give them candy, just put more layers of clothes on, tell them you will buy them a toy, blah blah blah';! Sorry, I'm ranting, but I can't take it anymore today. Anybody else feel me on this? Please, I'm begging you, show me there are responsible, sensible people out there who know what it takes and do what it takes to be a parent, hahahahahaha.Does it bother you the number of parents on this site that seek advice about...?
I soooo agree with you!! I keep asking myself--who is in charge?! The other day someone was asking what to do about their 3 yr. old running off every time they're in the store. This just blows my mind. I have two kids and neither of them would even THINK about running off. They know they'd be in deep pooh! I've never had them refuse to stay strapped in a carseat. Again, they know the rules and they know I'm serious. So when I see questions like the ones you've described I just don't get it. And parents who give their kids candy and toys just to shut them up deserve every amount of frustration they get. I've seen parents give in to kids so they'll be quiet. What does this teach them? It teaches them to be brattier and louder next time because it works!!

I knew a girl who was the absolute worst parent ever. She said her child refused to eat. When he was in our care he ate without issue. She said he couldn't be potty trained. When he stayed with us for a weekend he used the potty every time. She said she couldn't exercise in the morning because he'd walk over and stop the dvd player because he wanted to watch The Wiggles. She said she couldn't punish him because he refused to sit in time out. She allowed him to ruin another child's birthday party by crying and being a brat. It was a bowling party and he didn't want to take turns. He was crying and screaming and making everyone uncomfortable. She kept telling him, ';If you don't stop we're leaving.'; Everyone was hoping she'd follow through. She didn't. Just recently we were at a belt ceremony for my son's taekwondo. A mother there had a child who had to have been 3 or 4. He still had a pacifier!! AND he was screaming and carrying on in the small room and no one could hear what was being said. Do you think she bothered to get up and walk out? Nope. She continued to sit there with that screaming child.

I realize being a parent is challenging. Goodness knows I've faced some issues. It isn't easy and there are no perfect kids. But those kinds of parents are just irresponsible and lazy!Does it bother you the number of parents on this site that seek advice about...?
I think it has to do with sheer exhaustion. Sometimes you just can't think straight and really don't know what to do, even when it might be something obvious.
I think you being a bit critical don't you? I do not believe it hurts to ask for advice if needed . I can understand your agravation but some people may need a little more support thinking that maybe someone else has masterd being able to keep a child well entertained while in a car seat or saying the right things other than bribing a child with candy or toys so they'll keep their coats on and go to bed when needed. I think you as well should join my group on my 360 home page ttcdnbttteot@yahoo it's used to give advice to parents and created especially for young teens with ?'s . Happy holidays!
Basically you are saying that it is wrong for someone to seek advice on a subject that they lack information on. And that when someone does ask a simple parenting question they are then a bad parent. Ok... first... no question makes someone a bad parent. At least they are seeking information to be better at an area in their lives where they are lacking. Now hopefully they are intelligent enough to sort through the answers and pick a reasonable one.

I think that most of the people who ask questions here are really looking for an answer. And it's really rude of you to berate them because of that. Not everyone has had experience in raising children or has family around them who can help them when they seek advice.

Learn to be more tolerant, it will make you a better parent.

    :)
Don't you think that this site is more of a sounding board? Yes, people should know that if it's 20 below, they have to put their child in a coat, but where else can they vent their frustrations anonymously? Who hasn't called their pediatrician for something and sat nervously waiting for a call back?

Even when we're firm and consistent and we've read every book on the subject, sometimes when our child gets up 18 times in the night, and absolutely refuses to sleep or stay in bed, we just want to know how others have coped with the same situation.

Likewise, people post answers a lot of times just to see what others think of ';their'; method.

    I think a lot of the really ridiculous questions are fake or exaggerated: ';My son has a temperature of 103 and is vomiting blood, should I take him to the doctor?';

I truly hope that no parent relies on this site for serious or life-threatening questions.
i think its all balony of 12 yr olds or so!
Notice most of the people asking questions are first itme mother and the peole answering are mothers of multiple children. I wish there were more mothers out there asking questions about there children, I wish i had this when I had my first I was totally clueless (and I wouldn't have had to call my mom all the time).
These must be the same people I encounter at the grocery store and the mall. They sit there and watch their kids just stand in your way or run around screaming and they either do nothing or they simply say, in a really soft voice ';stop that,'; but they do nothing to enforce it. I'm sick to death of these bratty kids!

What bothers me just as much are all the ';I had sex two days ago... am I pregnant?'; questions on here.
Yes, it is tiresome at times to see the questions about basic parenting...but on the other hand we enjoy a forum that people feel safe enough to ask the questions and get good answers! A wonderful person once told me many years ago that the only stupid question was the one that went unasked. So as annoying as it might be or seem...ASK AWAY...there is alot of wisdom out here!
What burns me up is when mothers ask why their child has vomited twice in the last half hour. Why the hell are they on the computer and not taking care of the child? Geez, call a doctor if you need to but don't log on the computer!
yes it does bother me that so many parents refuse to ';Parent'; for the most part kids need to know somethings they have choices somethings they do not IE you have to wear a coat in the snow, do you want your blue coat or your pink coat. You have to stay in bed period no choice there. (my mom always had a saying I cant make you fall asleep but I CAN make you stay in your bed!!!)Their only choice with that is wether they want perks the following day (No child is entitled to television/cartoons/movies/phone, if they are good then they can get it, if your kid stays up all night then tv comes out of bedroom, if homework suffers because of phone calls then no phone calls, color all over the walls you wash the wall and lose your crayons, this parenting thing really isnt all that difficult. If you stop and think that real life for adults contain natural consequences (IE miss work, less money, dont do dishes nothing to eat with, dont obey boss lose job) so the best way to raise kids is with the natural consequences.
I agree. I'm not a parent yet, (my husband and I hope to be soon) however, people should know common sense and stop asking rediculous questions, as you've mentioned. You are completely right about people ';masking the real issue';.
Yeah, it does bother me. But mostly because these parents were raised by such poor parents themselves that they just were never taught the most basic of parenting skills by example.

People would be amazed what their children will do when given no other option. Parenting is extremely hard, but its also extremely simple. Consistancy is simple, sticking to it is hard.
I agree.. If you have to ask simple questions like that, you are not a good parent. I feel the same way about people asking for marriage or dating advice.. Like.. My husband cheated on me with my sister on our daughters bed while using my sex toys.. Should i divorce him? My ex-boyfriend treated me like crap, how do i get him back?
I agree with you to a certain degree. I think that now-a-days people are becoming parents when they are not ready for the responsibility. I agree that it is ridiculous when parents ask silly questions or want to know answers to common sense things. That is why children become untolerable or misguided. Children need discipline and guidance. However there is nothing wrong with people on yahoo answers answering the ';common sense questions'; because we need to give certain parents as much guidance and help as they can get. What really gets me is when people become parents too early in life or when they are not ready. I have seen mothers who can't even hold their children the correct way. If you're not ready for a child then don't have one. You bring up a very good point.
I am a single mother of a 5 year old daughter. She drives me up the wall. I do my best. I was raised by both my parents, and they are still together. I have four siblings, three of whom have their own children. None of us are perfect. We do not have all the answers when it comes to raising kids. We ask questions...sometimes we get an answer that works, sometimes we don't. Parenting is trial and error. What you do will either work, or it won't. Far be it from me to tell someone what will or won't work for their kids. Some things should definitely be common sense, like making your kid wear a coat when it's 20 below. That is when you have to make your kid understand you are right and that they shouldn't argue. My daughter tries that crap with me and she gets shut down instantly.

Some parents just need a little extra guidance, as frustrating as it may be to you, and to others. I still ask questions. I don't have all the answers, and if i did, I'd be a millionaire.
i just chalked it up to low income uneducated parents from the states *shrugs*
I totally agree with you. People are afraid to be parents. No one wants to put restrictions or limits on their children, and they aren't doing them any favours. All this New Age parenting crap about allowing children to make their own decisions and be ';individuals'; is creating a generation of kids who have no self control, no respect and no futures.

I have a friend who has a two year old daughter. This kid is out of control because my friend won't effectively parent her. The kid recently had tonsillitis and her mum wouldn't give her medicine, because her daughter ';doesn't like it';!!! Too bloody bad,I say. That kid, and those raised like her, are being set up to fail when they finally hit the real world.

Thanks for letting me rant, because I 100% agree with you.
    its anoying and sometimes i think ';you dont know?';

but hey, atlest their asking for help and getting some ansewers, better then doing nothing.
This is a funny question. I think we have all wanted to say it, but feel it's mean-spirited to do so.

There a few issues. As a first-time parent, I have been lucky to have access to the very good doctors, the internet, and many friends and family members, who all give great advice. Not everyone has that luxury. Not all of us have access to great doctors, and family member or friends who actually did a good job raising their kids.

That's no excuse however. If you have the ability to ask these types of questions on yahoo answers, you also have the ability to research your questions online. There are many websites that have great advice. I use babycenter.com.

I know that some people use YA because they are too lazy to look things up themselves, but when it comes to parenting, should you really be that lazy? Obviously, these lazy parents are the same ones you refer to in your question. I would never take advice from people on YA about parenting anyway, would you?
Oh my Gosh, I totally agree. Our children need guidence, especially in todays world. They will come to thank their parents later if we are there to protect them. Children are so unprodictable that parents just need to get over themselves and realize that they will never come first now. What did they think would happen.
Yes, it seems rediculous how little some parents know when it comes to taking care of their children, BUT, at least they are seeking advice to better themselves for the sake of their children. So that doesn't really bother me. What does bother me is, like you said, the people giving them bad advice.
I agree with you to some degree. Some of the questions on here bother me or concern me: I posted a similar question last week. But I think with most parents it might be that they are frustrated and are seeking advice from other parents who may have been through the same thing and might have some words of encouragement. I try not to judge people on here or think I know their situation. The answers: well you have to take most of them with a grain of salt because not everyone is here to help.
